Day 10: a study in perspectives

I am submitting two versions of the same picture because I was struck by how different they are, even though they're the same picture, the same subject matter, taken within seconds of each other, etc. The only difference is the perspective, the angle.
In the first, it's just a picture of a collection of things. But change the angle slightly, and suddenly, there's composition. It's kind of amazing.

Day 9: eHow but not the moon

So, today, in search of knowledge, I found myself at my favorite site in the world, eHow. I was wandering around, reading about how to hook up solar power, and how to milk goats, and how to feng shui your bedroom, and I thought, I can write much better how to articles than this! (at least for the feng shui ones ... )
So, I signed up, and spent a lot of today writing articles (I think that counts for my writing every day goal, even though it doesn't feel like it). The first article I wrote was in the list of articles that had been requested, and it was How to Make Cinnamon Oil.
So, this is the picture I took for the article: everything you need to make cinnamon oil:

If you like, you can visit my eHow profile/articles here.

Then, I stepped outside, and the full moon was bright and huge and gorgeous, and I wanted to take a picture of her, but my pictures ended up being sad and jumpy, so ... no moon.

Day 8: my first day at work

Yep, it was my first day at work, today, so here's a picture of me in my work uniform ... it's after my shift, because I didn't take my camera to work with me, and it was too early beforehand.

Day 7: before&after

So, the first two pictures were not pictures I took today, but they are here to show the full extent of before&after ...

This is my hair before ... it's goldish, and starting to get "long" (by my standards):

Then ... I cut my hair! I did it myself ... it's shorter, and kinda layered, or something ...

Taken this morning, this is the next "before" ...

And ... after!!

Here I am displaying the ideal of Elizabethan beauty (somewhat): red or gold hair, pale, pale skin ... I neglected to put kohl around my eyes to make them look bigger, but I did widen my eyes a bit when taking the picture ...

Apologies for the weird facial expressions ... This is my most current step to getting my hair back to my normal hair color ... I'm using henna dye, which is actually good for your hair, and so I figured I'd play with a few colors on my way, especially since blonde to dark brown is difficult for the henna dye ...

Day 6: because i'm always freezing

I'm knitting legwarmers! I found the yarn (100% wool, by the way, which makes me SOOO happy) for 50% off, and so was able to buy two skeins for $5. Kick ass! I'm also fulfilling another of my goals with this, because I have to do ... umm, knit 1, purl 1? I forget what the stitch is called, and later I'll be doing the stockinette stitch, which is knit one row, purl one row ... so it's "fancy knitting"! (I will learn more than that this year, but still, it's a start ... I taught myself how to do the stitch I'm doing now, but I thought it HAD to be wrong, so I stopped, and forgot.)

Also, apologies for the hella blurry pictures; I didn't realize they were blurry until I stopped taking pictures and started uploading them, and at the time, I had a raging headache, and my "other" blog (that I was doing this with) was being a bitch, and so I just said, "Fuck it," and decided that it's Project 365, it's like NaNo in that it doesn't have to be good, it just has to be existant. So, my pictures exist. Woot.

Day 5: praise skor, goddess of thrift store finds

A lamp I bought at a thrift store today ... I think it's supposed to have a lamp-shade sort of thing, or one of those opaque-ish glass bubbles around the lightbulb, but for now ...

Day 4: oh christmas tree ...

This is the ornament Amia made me for Christmas this year .... the gold-and-sunflower one ...
